We offer diverse workforce opportunities

Join the ACT Government’s Education Directorate – a leading learning organisation where people know they matter.

We employ a workforce of over 8,300 staff, including 7,200 staff based in ACT public schools. We’re committed to attracting and cultivating a teaching workforce that delivers quality teaching and learning across our public schools. We recognise that highly skilled, high performing teachers and school leaders are key to better outcomes for our students and that every child deserves a great education and the life chances which flow from it.

We deliver high quality education across 91 public schools educating more than 51,000 students from early childhood through Year 12. We also register non-government schools in the ACT and regulate the early childhood sector.

In addition to teachers, our Directorate offers a range of workforce opportunities – from psychologists and social workers through to administrative officers and support staff in a range of specialties from procurement to infrastructure, communications and more.

You’ll find all current teacher vacancies and other jobs relating to education advertised on the Jobs ACT website External Link.
